Air
Only in Zlatibor Mt. three major air currents create a wind rose, which is therapeutic for people as well as for our products. Warm winds from the Mediterranean Sea and crystal crisp air from the Alps and the Dinarides meet with the strong currents from the Carpathians precisely above our Mačkat, bringing fragrances and tastes from three continents. We carefully expose our products to those pure, salubrious winds and they absorb the fragrances and life and soul from the entire world.
Water
We want to hand over the clean, unpolluted mountain to every following generation. Mountain waters rich in minerals and salts are the lifeblood of the ecosystem of Zlatibor Mt. Once we use the water for our production, we return it to the nature though the state-of-the art waste water treatment system via overflow pits that have natural filtration. We return it clean as it actually was when we took it. We borrow the water from our mountain. Then we give it back to it the same as it was, so that our children could also live in the mountain that we have encountered. The health-promoting and the most gorgeous one.
Fire
In our family, smoked hams have been dried only on the smoke of dry beech wood, for generations in the past, within the living memory. But, how did our folks know without any laboratory analyses that the meat would not become harmful to people only on the smoke of beech wood? Maybe the point is in the feeling for fancy touches of the masterly preparation of ham, and maybe in hundreds of years of experience as well. We believe that our folks from generation to generation gradually learnt what is good. They conveyed to us their feeling and understanding of joy of presenting good food to others. In laboratories, we only have the right to speed up the process of acquiring new knowledge. But not to change its essence – the tradition, nature, and continuous learning.
